I, Ed Sweeney, am running as the Republican candidate for Second Ward Commissioner of Haverford Township because I believe our community deserves leadership that listens, cares, and delivers results.

I’m a lifelong resident of Delaware County and 30 year resident of Havertown, and I’ve spent my life working hard, raising a family, and staying deeply involved in the issues that matter most to us—things like quality education, safe neighborhoods, and opportunities that don’t leave anyone behind.

What drives me to run isn’t politics—it’s people. I’ve seen firsthand how decisions made by those in power can impact our day-to-day lives. I want to bring a fresh, honest voice to Havertown - one that puts community before special interests and focuses on practical solutions, not partisan talking points.

Whether it's fixing roads, funding schools, or making sure everyone feels heard and respected, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I don’t have all the answers—but I do have the heart, work ethic, and willingness to listen.
